Delete your LogEM account

Last updated 19 September 2026

LogEM is a procedures logbook app for emergency medicine clinicians, published by BRIGHTWELL MEDICAL LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17197913 and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under ZC240048. This page explains how to request deletion of your LogEM account, what is deleted, and what is kept.

How to delete your account in the app

This is the quickest way, and it is the one we recommend. If you want a copy of your logbook, export it from Reports before you start.

  1. Open LogEM on your phone.
  2. Go to the Account tab.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm when you are asked to.

That is the whole process. No email or reply from us is needed.

How to request deletion by email

If you cannot get into the app, email privacy@logem.co.uk from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We reply within one month.

What is deleted

We hold one small account record per user on our server, and deleting your account deletes all of it:

Retention period. We delete the account record from our live systems within 30 days. Short-term backups are rotated and overwritten within their cycle. Nothing is kept after that, and there is no further retention period.

There is no clinical data on any server to delete. LogEM never uploads your logbook, so we have never held it.

What is not deleted: your logbook

Deleting your account does not delete your logbook. Your procedures, scans, notes and any images are stored only in a database on your own phone. They are never sent to a server, so there is nothing for us to delete, and nothing for us to return.

Your logbook therefore stays on your device after the account is gone. To remove it as well:

  1. Export it first from Reports if you want a copy. You can export as PDF, Excel, CSV or JSON.
  2. Then use Clear all data in the app, or uninstall LogEM.

Uninstalling the app removes its data from your device, but it does not delete your account. If you want both gone, delete the account in the app first, then clear the data or uninstall.
